THE STUDY QUESTIONNAIRE
1. Do you procrastinate?
Well stop it! You probably do this because you are afraid of opening a book and seeing how much you don't know! Remember nothing's impossible to learn, it may be challenging but that's what your Unique Learning Process is for.
2. When are you most alert; morning noon or night? This is the best time to study. Find a quiet isolated spot/ create one.
Let the people around you know what you are doing and why. This will help them to help you. If you can create your optimal time for studying DO IT,
e.g. if you're a night owl like me, go into a room and turn off all sources of light except a lamp to create the illusion of night time.
3. Do you remove distractions before you study?
When you are trying take in new information it is best to give it your 100% attention. This means no distractions like TV, social network sites, music, your friends or family! Create an environment just for learning or find somewhere to fully concentrate.
4. What is your attention span?
Hopefully as what you are studying becomes less of a scary mystery, you'll actually start to enjoy it and your attention span will increase.
5. What form of information do you understand the most?
Information comes in many forms, it may be a diagram, a written text or an audio track. People take in some forms of information more easily than others. Neil D. Fleming designed the VARK SYSTEM which helps people to identify which form of information they prefer to learn by.
